In Norse mythology, Odin is the primary god of Aesir clan, known as the “Allfather”, and is associated with wisdom, war, death, magic and the runic alphabet.  He is believed to preside over Valhalla, where half of the warriors who die in battle are received.

He is the One-Eyed Allfather, who sacrificed his eye in order to see everything that happens in this world.  He has two sons Balder by his wife Frigg and Thor by Jord.
